color not approved, Injection Molding (Machine)

How do i find out if i have barrel residence issues? I have a part weight of 0.225 lbs and a machine capability of 76.0oz. The color blend can be corrected with increased back pressure but the part is too light. When this program is moved to a smaller ton press these issues don't occur WHY??

It is mainly related to screw design - blending result.

I have a interior trim part that i can never get color approval on in my larger tonnage machine, but yet when it is moved to a smaller tonnage press color is approved is this related to barrell residence time?
