Hello Russ,
Citrus smell is only due to high AA-Level generation in pet.You can avoid it by keeping low barrel temp.in you injection m/c.It is generated in the barrel due to high process temps.

Sometimes high AA levels can be confused with a rotten citric fragance. Check also your air system for Rust & Oil contamination

My customers are complaining of a citrus smell in the bottles blown with my preforms. Is this AA level problem or blow molding problem???
