Hi
Why only PP container is used to pack Detergent & not HDPE.
|
we have machine for filling juice, we used it bfore for filling in the can with some change we use it for hot-fill bottle , naw i want to haw can we impinge nitrogen to our bottle and save it untill capper?

dear sir im using pco neck finish 28 mm but i have broblem all the time clouser broken down itry diffrent mtrail but same
also what kind of spry triagger and pump lotion can i used with 28mm

Hi,
can anybody recommend literature for the PET heat-setting or hotfill topic?
Regards
Daniel

TOPIC IS GOOD

Current status of hot fill technology in China:
To protect neck while hot filling:
1. crystalized neck;
2. thicker neck (thus save cost on neck crystalization, but filling time is limited).
PET resin:
1. normal bottle grade PET resin, but using hot fill blow molding method, maximum fill temperature 75~80c;
2. hot fill grade PET resin, and hot fill blow molding method, maximum fill temperature 90~95c.
Hot fill blow method:
1. single mold method:
preform heating, 1st blow, 2nd blow using cold air, exhaust;
2. two molds method (can achieve fill temperature over 95c):
preform heating, blow in 1st mold into ballon design, ballon heating, blow using cold air in 2nd mold, exhaust.
Leave a little pressure inside bottle while mold open.

Normally two way hot fill bottle can be acheived.
First by blending PET with PEN material the resultant Tg will be higher so that hot filling can be possible with the existing ISBM system.
Other way is by using faster crystallising resin but for that you need a modification in blowing technology.(hot blow mold)for acheiving at least 40% crystallinity in bottle.

the AMCOR PET bottle called POWERFLEX solves the problem
the bottom panel collapses inwards as the vacuum develops during cooling

Dear sir, we are planning to go for manufacturing pet bottles to suit hot fillablew items like fruit juice, Tomato catch-up and jams. Kindly provide us the hot fill(neck crystalizing) process. Any special machine is required for this? Whether neck cooling process is happening at preform stage or preform blowing stage. regards. hari

Dear sir,
Can you tell me what meterial WELCH's hot filled juices are using, it is thick walled and looks like PP but but according to the code on the bottom it indicates "öther". What could this "other" be.
Best regards,
Edward McIntosh

It it is not a hot fill bottle, heavier wall thickess doesn't help too much.
|
can a heavier wall thickness eliminate collapsing after hot fill? Thank you.
Eastman has a hot-fill bottle material: "Heatwave CF746" are you familiar with this?

There are some tricks to get around the ugly vacuum panels even though, as Thomas says, as the container cools, a vacuum is created that would normally collapse the bottle. One is to inject liquid Nitrogen into the head space after filling. The Nitrogen will expand after the cap is closed and will, to a degree, counteract the vacuum. Whether it will be enough depends on the temperature, the head space volume, and the volume of the container.
Another way is to move the vacuum panels to the top of the bottle and hide them in some design work. That leaves a clean panel area at the bottom.

When a hot filled container cools down it creates a type of vacuum. Unless you have areas of the container that will allow for the vacuum the container will collapse. You may also require special hot fill material and a crystalised neck finish.

hi everybody
i am looking for an information that will help to make a flexible design for hot fill bottles without the current necessity of using ribs and panels.
