A lot of definition and terms can be found about "Annealing". but what is "actually" annealing from A to Z. Many plastic personnels had mentioned that we need to store the parts for 24 hrs to release the stress and cool down the parts, but there was no concrete objective evidence to show that we have to lay them for 24 hrs. Even the manufacuturer could not provide a copy of such evidence.
Actually we are running clear parts for audio and the parts warp consistently. Many test had been carried out to reduce the warp.
We are trying to convince the moulding guys to control the warp from the moulding end but we have not concrete evidence to convince them, controlling the warp at 0.15mm as stated in the print and at the secondary process (annealing)and control at cooling till delivery to about 0.15 to 0.25mm
Max allowance given by customer is 0.2mm
If appreciate if you could shed some light on what is annealing is all about from A to Z
Thanking you in advance.
