I am going to suggest something radical !

Pull the extruder screw out and strip the head every time you do the colour change.
This might sound like a huge task but I know a company that does exactly this.
They have done it so many times that a man can do 3 machines in a morning.
Obviously some machines are much easier than others.
Their machines are small Battenfeld-Fisher VK 1-3 running PVC
Try it!

I think after you manage to do the cleaning, try coating with "NanoMouldrelease", its a Do it yourself nano coating that provide an antistick surface to your mold and component. Your leftover dye will not stay after purging. We are very happy with this product..
you can locate them in the website, www.nanomouldrelease.com
hope this helps!

Try purging with polyethylene between color changes.

Dear Gentelmens!
I have a big truble with machine's clining.(4 days already without succesfull results)
We are working with TECHNE blow molding machines with Clariant dye for bottle making.
After color change our machine is need 4 days (or more) for full and succesfull cleaning - it is terrible. We loose our money and time for this.
Guys, I need your advice conserning my problem.
Maybe some people have more experience with this?
Could you use some chenical components for fast and full cleaning? And whot components it is?
Please help me with my trouble.

Thank you
