I have problems blowing 200ml pet bottles using AMCOR's 18grams preforms, whereby the base of the bottle would crack or develop a hole during blowing randomly amongst the 4 molds of the blowing machine. there is also signs of off-centered gates.
what's the function of the optical pyrometer?
which is the best range of temperatures for preforms before the blowing?
70-90C OR 90-115C OR 115 140C
when i do drop test. bottle brust
how can i check bottle quality
ur blow heater must be over heated in one or two temperature zone.first u identify which point ur preform bent.then u decreas the zone temp which cause to bent ur preform.
i have another problem with my preform. My preform quality is alright.but someime un-melted pet resin come out with air bubble in the preform. if i increas barrel temp, un-melted pet resin and air bubble decreas.but preform quite burnt.please sugges me, how i prevant this unwanted pet resin & air bubble from my preform.

If your preform is coming out of the reheat oven bent I would check the following:
•Preform wall thickness uniformity, uneven walls will heat differently
•Is the preform rotating properly in the oven?
•Are all oven lamps and controls operating properly?
•Are all oven shields and reflectors in good condition and in proper position?
Preform bent occurs due to breakdown of intrinsic viscosity of the material. Please try to reduce the cycle time or try to reduce the barrel temperature.
the preform might not heated evenly. the place where u put preform on it should rotate the whole time.
i face aproblem of the preform get bent or not straight before going to the mold or before blowing in the mold so it gets center off. the preform is good the preform is bent after the last stage of heating and before blowing in the pet blow moulding machine.
