The only scrape you will get is the startup and shoutdowns.
But during the production the wastage or scrap depends how accurate(repeatability of machine) your equipment is. In my personal experience colour pellets do give a lot of variation ( we have a very strict color quality, machines like Krones/Sidel are very color sensitive) so we opt for liquid color master batches no colour variation at all.

When running colour pellets from a colour feeder into an injection molding machine to make preforms, what percentage of scrap can you expect during the course of 500,000 preforms? Is it possible to achieve 100% quality after start up? Meaning, can you expect a visible variation in the colour?
