What is the maximum storage time for PET resin from date of manufacture?

Just saw one factory's regulation on storage conditions for PET preforms and PET bottles:

To minimize the quality problems of preforms & PET bottles caused by inappropriate storage, recently we have exchanged experiences with other areas and concluded the following guidelines:

Preform storage
The must be packed in a sealed plastic bag. Under room temperature storage condition, the maximum storage time is 3 months.

PET bottle storage (before filling)
For summer time: Under the storage condition of below 32 centigrade and 89 % humidity, their maximum storage time is 1 month.
For winter time: Under the storage condition of 5 -15 centigrade and 50 – 60% humidity, their maximum storage time is 3 months.

Storage environment
Inside secured room.
No insects, pests or animals.
No dangerous, flammable or other irrelevant materials.
Good ventilation.
Observe first in first out practice.
No direct sunlight.
Fire protective facilities provided.

1. Make PET bottle dark colorful;
2. Keep them at shady and cool place, avoid exposing them in sunlight;
3. Have PET bottle made of ultraviolet PET resin (like edible oil).

Background information #1:
The interaction of menthol with polyethylene terephthalate bottles during storage time at three different temperatures was investigated. Menthol is a mint flavor agent and exists in low concentration in Iranian yoghurt drinks and considered as a consumer acceptability factor. In order to study the effects of environmental conditions on flavor, the yogurt drink samples were stored at 4°C, 25°C and 45°C for about 3 month.
After different time periods, absorbed flavor was extracted from PET bottles and quantified using gas chromatography. The sorption amount in various conditions was different. After 3 month, the absorption quantity at 4, 25 and 45°C were 0.04, 0.18 and 0.7 percent of initial concentration in yogurt drink, respectively.
It was concluded that the amounts of menthols absorbed into PET bottle are increasing based on storage time and temperature increase. On the other hand in comparison with other studies understood that the thickness of polymer and the food complex are significant factors affecting on equilibrium absorption time. Subsequently possessing the concentration of absorbed menthol, the diffusion coefficient of menthol into PET bottles was determined by mathematical model and concluded that Diffusion coefficient is a time independent factor but absolutely depends to temperature and follows Arrhenius relation.

Background Information #2
The use of PET bottles for edible oil in Brazil is increasing but there is a trend to reduce bottle weight for economic reasons, which decreases the oxygen barrier of the package. The barrier performance of a 20 g PET bottle for 900 ml soya oil, submitted to gas flushing with gaseous N2 and pressurization with liquid N2, was compared with a 27 g PET conventional bottle. During 8 months storage at 25c the internal pressure, dissolved oxygen and oxygen in the headspace were evaluated and did not change significantly. Liquid N2 pressurization did not improve the efficiency of reducing O2 in the headspace compared to N2 gas flushing.
